Cover for Global Telephony

The July issue of Global Telephony magazine features this cover depicting the man/machine interface.

Oddly enough, very little digital work was employed in the creation of this image. Instead, a large format color transparency was projected onto a plaster head emerging from a white foamcore wall, and then photographed from a 3/4 view onto a second transparency. Only the original image of the circuit board was digitally altered in advance, to most dramatically frame the face. Art Director Glenn Verde is credited with the original concept, with Schrempp Photo-Digital taking care of all production design and engineering necessary to bring it off.
